Abstract

The invention discloses a USB wireless network card configuration method, a host, a USB wireless network card and a communication system. The configuration mode can be entered after the host and the USB wireless network card are connected. Configuration port combination information including all function ports configured by users are obtained and sent to the USB wireless network card in the configuration mode. The USB wireless network card can read in corresponding configuration files in a self-adaption manner according to the function ports included in the configuration port combination information, thereby finishing the configuration. Thus, users can configure different function ports according to own requirements; the USB wireless network card can report all kinds of different ports according to the configuration of the users; and one USB wireless network card driving version can meet all customization requirements on functions of the ports imposed by different users. Therefore, limitation on quantity of endpoints imposed by a USB protocol is avoided; development cost is reduced and research and development period is shortened; the users can freely switch different function ports without post upgrades; and due to the reduction on driving versions and upgrading frequency, cost of drive development and maintenance can be reduced.
