The invention provides a scheme capable of reducing damages caused by operations during ripening-accelerating processes as well as effectively and efficiently strengthening ovarian development of Japanese eels. The inventor provides an additive for promoting the ovarian development of the Japanese eels, wherein the additive comprises androstenedione and methyltestosterone, and the ratio of the androstenedione to the methyltestosterone in the additive for promoting the ovarian development of the Japanese eels is 4:6-6:4. The inventor further discloses a method for promoting the ovarian development of the Japanese eels by applying the additive in the breeding processes of the Japanese eels. The method is capable of effectively raising gonad indexes of the female Japanese eels. Moreover, the method and the additive are convenient to use; and no damage is caused to the Japanese eel broodstocks by carrying out the operations during the application processes.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention relates to the aquaculture industry, in particular to an additive and a method for promoting the development of Japanese eel ovaries. Background technique [0002] At present, the ripening method in the artificial breeding process of Japanese eel is generally through the injection of hormones. Commonly used hormones include carp pituitary gland, LHRH-A3, HCG and so on. In the process of ripening, the Japanese eel broodstock is generally transferred from fresh water to seawater gradually, and then the injection is started, usually every 7 to 10 days, and it takes 3 to 5 months for the female broodstock to mature. Some scholars also promote the development of female gonads by implanting hormones in the abdominal cavity, such as carp pituitary gland, androstenedione and methyltestosterone. But it also takes about 15 days to implant once. To sum up, the current ripening methods of Japanese eel broodstock require more frequent operations on ...
