Embodiments of the invention disclose an unlocking method capable of intelligently identifying a visitor and a mobile terminal. The method is applied to the mobile terminal. The method comprises the steps of judging whether the mobile terminal in a screen-locking state receives human body characteristic information matched with pre-stored human body characteristic information or not; if not, receiving a touch screen unlocking operation of a user; and if the touch screen unlocking operation of the user does not conform to a preset first touch screen unlocking operation used for entering a host mode, unlocking a screen of the mobile terminal, and entering a visitor mode.
