Embodiment 1

[0068] The effect of adding mometasone furoate, a steroid widely used today, to luliconazole was studied by the pulp petri dish method. That is to say, a filter paper with a diameter of 8 mmΦ impregnated in a 0.625 μg / mL ethanol solution of luliconazole or a 0.625 μg / mL luliconazole containing a specified steroid compound was placed on the medium agar plate, and the 2×10 5 Trichophyton rubrum per dish and cultured at 28°C for 72 hours. Thereafter, the size of the inhibition ring was measured. The results are shown in Table 1. It was thus found that mometasone furoate (FM) at a concentration not exceeding 0.02 w / v% did not substantially affect the antifungal effect of luliconazole.

[0069] [Table 1]

[0070]

Embodiment 2

[0072] In the same manner as in Example 1, prednisolone was studied. Prednisolone was used at a concentration of 0.5 w / v%. As a result, the size of the inhibitory ring was 97.2% of that obtained when luliconazole was used alone. It was found that the presence of prednisolone at a concentration of about 0.5 w / v% did not substantially affect the antifungal activity.

Embodiment 3

[0074] In the same manner as in Example 1, hydrocortisone was investigated. The results are shown in Table 2. It can be seen that the presence of hydrocortisone at a concentration of about 0.1-0.5 w / v% does not substantially affect the antifungal activity.

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing, in order to treat dermatomycosis accompanying severe inflammations such as flare ups, an externally applied pharmaceutical composition which includes a combination of an anti-fungal agent and a steroidal agent, and in which the anti-fungal agent and the steroidal agent do not interfere with each other. This externally applied pharmaceutical composition for treating mycosis is characterized by including: a compound represented by general formula (1) shown below (in general formula (1), R represents hydrogen or a halogen, and X represents a halogen), and / or a salt thereof; and a steroid selected from prednisolone, dexamethasone, hydrocortisone, clobetasone, clobetasol, betamethasone, and mometasone.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions, more particularly, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising an antifungal agent and a steroid. Background technique [0002] There has been much debate going on for a long time about the use of steroids and antifungal agents in dermatophytosis. Although it has been reported that the penetration of antifungal agents into tissues can be enhanced by steroids based on the fact that steroids suppress skin inflammation (see Non-Patent Document 1), it has also been reported that the suppression of immunity by steroids The penetration of fungi into nails and the like is promoted (see Non-Patent Document 2). Therefore, the use of steroids in combination with antifungal agents for dermatophytosis has been controversial. It should be noted that, specifically, it has been reported that administration of cortisol or the like causes a phenomenon of promoting fungal growth (see, for example, Non-Patent ...
