Device and method for testing mechanical properties of pile-soil contact surface

The invention discloses a device for testing the mechanical properties of a pile-soil contact surface. The device is composed of a sealed pressure chamber, a hollow cylindrical soil sample, a solid cylindrical concrete pile sample and the like. The pile sample is prefabricated, and its diameter is equal to the internal diameter of the hollow cylindrical soil sample, and the two samples joint together closely. The lower end of the concrete pile sample is disposed on a pedestal through a spring assembly, and the upper end is connected to a stress loading system through a dowel bar, which is provided with a stress sensor and a displacement sensor I. The outside of the concrete pile sample is the hollow cylindrical soil sample. Filter paper and permeable stones are disposed at the lower end of the soil sample, and the lower end is positioned on the pedestal, while the upper end of the soil sample is provided with filter paper, permeable stones, a top cover and a displacement sensor II in order. During test, a confining pressure is exerted first for consolidating, and then a static (dynamic) load is exerted on the pile sample for measuring the axial deformation, pore water stress and the like of the pile and the soil. The device provided in the invention has a simple structure, is easy to realize, and can be used to measure the mechanical properties of a pile-soil contact surface under the action of a static (dynamic) load.

The present invention relates to a pleated filter made of a multi-layer filter medium, including at least one filter paper layer having area weights of 30-100 g / m2, a microfiber nonwoven fabric layer having area weights 5-120 g / m2 and a support nonwoven fabric layer made of synthetic, polymeric fibers having area weights of 10-120 g / m2. The layers of the pleated filter contain fused polymer areas by which the fabric layers are bonded to the paper layer, and by which the fabric layers are made firmer within themselves. When subject to a fractional efficiency test at an initial pressure difference of at most 180 Pa, at a boundary speed of approximately 2.62 m / s and a flow speed through the filter medium of approximately 0.13 m / s, the pleated filter is able to separate at least 90% of particles greater than 0.3 mum, at least 92% of particles greater than 0.5 mum, at least 93% of particles greater than 1 mum, and at least 97% of particles greater than 3 mum, as measured using the standard method DIN EN 60312 (IEC 60312) § 5.1.2.5.

Use of equine amniotic membrane in ophthalmic surgeries in veterinary medicine

A method for making, storing and using a surgical graft from equine amniotic membrane in veterinary ophthalmology. The amniotic membrane is obtained from equine placenta, from which the chorion has been separated. Sheets of the amniotic membrane are cut to size and mounted on filter paper. The cells of the amniotic membrane are killed, preferably while being frozen and thawed in the storage solution. The equine amniotic membrane can be used in a variety of ocular surgeries in horses but also other species such as food animals, dogs and cats. It represents a strong biomaterial that will give a good physical support to the ocular tissues while inducing a minimal amount of scarring which is primordial in ocular surgeries in order to obtain the best visual outcome.

By adopting the testing system, the freezing / thawing process of the deep soil can be rather systematically researched, so as to obtain the frost heaving rate and the water absorbing / draining rate of the deep soil which is in different depths frozen under the different temperature gradients. The testing system provides the technical guarantee for the research in clarifying the action of the external load on the forming processes of the freezing soil and the frozen soil cold-formed structures, and the mutual action of the temperature, the moisture content and the pressure of the soil body in the process of freezing under the high-pressure action.

A kit for the rapid detection of pathogens in food supplies. The kit includes a microspot device and one or more indicator reagents to be applied to a well of the microspot device. The employed indicator reagent produces a detectable change upon contact with a pathogen of interest. The microspot device is fabricated from a porous membrane, such as filter paper. A substantially continuous boundary composed of a low melting temperature solid is deposited within the porous membrane extending from the top of the membrane to the bottom of the membrane and defines the peripheral sides of the well. Additionally, a barrier is applied to the bottom of the membrane, thus defining the bottom of the well. The kit can further include growth media for enriching the pathogenic bacteria and instructions for use of the kit employing the microspot device and the one or more indicator reagents.

Patterned multilayer array paper chip, preparation method and application thereof

The invention provides a patterned multilayer array paper chip, a preparation method and an application thereof. The front surface, rear surface and interior of the patterned multilayer array paper chip all have the structures of alternately emerged wax areas and filter paper areas and alternately emerged hydrophilic areas and lyophobic areas. The preparation method comprises the following steps: designing a required pattern by using a computer; printing the wax onto an untreated filter paper surface by using a printing machine; placing a printed patterned multilayer array paper chip into a high-temperature container for roasting; and then taking out and cooling; and packaging, thereby obtaining the wax patterned multilayer array paper chip. The patterned multilayer array paper chip is applied to the high-flux and quick detection for environmental pollutants, such as, the assay determination for heavy metal ions in suitably treated agricultural products, such as, vegetables, neutralized by water. The preparation method provided by the invention is simple, direct, low-cost, high in preparing speed, suitable for mass production of the patterned multilayer array paper chip, and has commercial prospect.

The invention discloses a temperature-controlled type unsaturated soil consolidometer, which can be used for geotechnical engineering measuring apparatus manufacture. The temperature-controlled type unsaturated soil consolidometer comprises a combined type pressure chamber with a bidirectional motion loading pressure piston, a diversion system, a displacement meter and laser metering equipment. Heat conducting oil is filled in a sandwich chamber between the outer side of the combined type pressure chamber and an outer-layer transparent sleeve; and moreover, the sandwich chamber is also provided with a thermoelectric couple and a heating rod to control the temperature inside the pressure chamber. When the temperature-controlled type unsaturated soil consolidometer is used, a filter paper method of suction measurement can be employed for measuring the suction of an unsaturated sample under different temperatures; unsaturated soil drying and watering cycle tests controlled under suction and compression tests under constant suction can be implemented to obtain the influence rules of the temperature on the soil-water characteristic and mechanical characteristic of unsaturated soil; andsoaking expansion deformation tests and expansion pressure tests under different temperatures can be implemented, and the expansion deformation of the unsaturated soil and the changing rules of the expansibility are respectively obtained through the displacement meter or a load sensor. The temperature-controlled type unsaturated soil consolidometer has the advantages of complete functions, simplestructure, convenient operation and high test precision.

Preparation method and application of ultra-hydrophobic and ultra-lipophilic paper-based separating material

The invention relates to a preparation method and an application of an ultra-hydrophobic and ultra-lipophilic paper-based separating material. The preparation method comprises that: (1) a sol solution of silicon dioxide nano-particles with a particle size of 24 to 36nm is prepared with existing technologies; (2) the solution is modified with a silanizing reagent; (3) a piece of filter paper is immersed in the modified nano-particle solution for 10 to 20 seconds, and is naturally dried, such that an ultra-hydrophobic and ultra-lipophilic paper-based separating material is obtained. The surfaceof the material possesses micron-sized apertures. The contact angle between the separating material and the water surface is larger than 150 DEG. The material has a good ultra-hydrophobic performance, and is acid resistant and organic solvent resistant. The material can be used repeatedly, and can be used for absorbing oil stains floated on water surfaces. The material brings an excellent separating effect to oil-water mixtures, especially oil-water emulsion with high viscosity, and has wide application prospect in industrial oil-water separation and water area oil stain cleaning. According to the present invention, the preparation technology is simple, the requirement for equipment is low, the preparation condition is not restricted by region differences, and mass industrial production can be realized easily.

The invention relates to filter paper for a cooling system in wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM), which comprises the following components in percent by weight: 18-25 percent of phenolic resin, 0.5-5 percent of glass fiber, 0.5-5 percent of polyester fiber and 65-82 percent of wood pulp fiber. A production method of the filter paper comprises the steps of pulping, pulp mixing, paper making, drying, glue setting and forming. The filter paper adopts the wood pulp fiber as the main material which is matched with a proportion of glass fiber and polyester fiber, so that the bore diameter of the filter paper can be reduced, and the filtering accuracy can be improved; and in addition, since the polyester is chemically-synthesized fiber and has high strength, the bursting strength of the filter paper is improved, and the service life of the filter paper is prolonged. In the production process of the filter paper, thermosetting phenolic resin is introduced by dipping setting glue, and the size stability, the high temperature resistance and the water resistance of the filter paper are further improved. When being applied to a cooling liquid circulating system in WEDM, the filter paper is not deformed or expanded and has good strength in water, and the phenomena of water jetting and black water generating due to bursting are avoided.

By using a full print mode, a plurality of multi-channel microfluidic chemiluminescent paper chips are printed out on a common A4-size filter paper in batch. The printing process includes: printing hydrophobic wax patterns in batch; melting wax for molding; printing chemiluminescent reagent ink patterns in batch; printing oxidase ink pattern in batch; cutting the microfluidic chemiluminescent paper chips into certain shape; and performing plastic package to the prepared microfluidic chemiluminescent paper chips. An on-site detection method by using the microfluidic chemiluminescent paper chip comprises the steps of: placing the plastic packaged microfluidic chemiluminescent paper chip into the cartridge of a handheld luminescent detector; dropwise adding a sample solution into the sample region; then covering the cartridge with a lid, and starting the test. The existence and contents of glucose, polyphenols, xanthine, cholesterol, uric acid, and hemoglobin are sequentially determined via the size of six chemiluminescence peaks sequentially appearing.

The invention demonstrates that microcapsules containing biocide dispersed in paint show 0 to 3% reduction in inhibition zone where as un-encapsulated biocide show 20-22% reduction in inhibition zone when analyzed by filter paper assay thus indicating extended duration of biocidal activity with microencapsulated biocide.

The invention relates to an electrolytic extraction and detection method of nonmetallic inclusion in steel by utilizing an organic solution. The method comprises the following process steps: (1) preparing electrolyte; (2) preparing and electrolyzing a steel sample: soaking the steel sample containing the inclusion into the electrolyte in an electrolytic cell; arranging a salt bath beside the electrolytic cell; erecting a salt bridge between the salt bath and the electrolytic cell; inserting a calomel electrode into the salt bath; inserting a calomel electrode in the salt bath; using the positive electrode of the steel sample, connected with a direct current stabilized power supply, as the anode, using a platinum wire as an electrolysis cathode, charging inert gas, particularly referring to argon; and (3) separating: pouring the electrolyte left after the electrolysis of the steel sample in the step (2) into a funnel which is filled with filter paper; arranging a vacuum filtration device which is loaded with a polytetrafluoroethylene membrane at the position tightly attached to the liquid down port of the funnel; separating the inclusion from the steel sample under the state that the vacuum filtration device is vacuumized; and transferring the polytetrafluoroethylene membrane which is distributed with the inclusion to a scanning electron microscope for detection. In the method provided by the invention, the inclusion can be extracted out of the steel without being damaged; and the three-dimensional shape of the inclusion is directly observed.

The invention provides large-area freestanding carbon nanotube paper and a preparation method thereof. The carbon nanotube paper is composed of disordered carbon nanotubes and in a non-woven fabric form. The preparation method comprises the steps of: dissolving carbon nanotube powder in a solvent, dispersing it uniformly and placing the dispersion solution in a pumping filtration device, conducting pumping filtration to deposit the carbon nanotube on filter paper, then separating the carbon nanotube paper and the filter paper, thus obtaining a target product with thickness ranging from micrometers to hundreds of micrometers. The method of the invention is not limited to a specific carbon nanotube kind, pumping filtration device and dispersion degree, and can be realized by ordinary filtering equipment and dispersion equipment. With an area more than 50cm<2>, the prepared carbon nanotube paper has the advantages of freestanding capability, low content and easy removal of a dispersing agent, controllable flexibility and poriness, simple operation technology, and low cost, thus being applicable extensively in the fields of new energy, heat radiation of high power electronics, advanced chemistry, chemical and biological separation, filtering membranes and high performance light polymer composite materials.

Direct graphene film transfer method

The invention relates to a direct graphene film transfer method. Currently, transferring graphene films from metal surfaces is quite inconvenient. The method includes: using the chemical vapor deposition method to grow a graphene film on a copper foil; using oxygen plasma cleaner to clear graphene on one side of the copper foil to obtain a combination of the single-layer graphene film with the copper foil; flatly attaching a transfer carrier onto the surface of the graphene film and drip adding an organic solvent of a proper quality to increase the interaction between the transfer carrier andthe graphene film; using etchant solution to clear the copper foil to obtain a combination of the single-layer graphene film with the transfer carrier; using deionized water to clean the graphene film for multiple times; and using a filter paper to clear the deionized water on the surface of the graphene film. Using the direct graphene film transfer method avoids the graphene films from being damaged by transfer media such as organic colloid and the like, single-layer graphene films of 100 micrometers or more can be obtained, simple equipment is required, product dimension is controllable, production safety is high, and industrial application is easy to implement.
