The measurement method comprises following steps: obtaining a measurement image containing a target to be measured; determining a valid calibration reference in the measurement image; obtaining a mapping relation between the measurement image and the three-dimensional space based on the calibration reference in the measurement image and the actual length of the calibration reference; and obtaining the posture height of the object to be measured based on the mapping relation between the measurement image and the three-dimensional space. The measurement system and method for human gesture heights of images has following beneficial effects: mapping technology of three-dimensional space and plane images is utilized for information reconstruction of the three-dimensional space for the scene where the target to be measured is located such that actual distance of image segments corresponding to the space through conversion; the defect of complexity in professional measurement is overcome; and finally, height segments are drawn through human gestures in images so that the effect is achieved.
