Abstract

The present invention relates to a deflection element for a wind deflector, comprising a flexible fabric (2) which can be transferred by means of a deployment element (12) of the wind deflector into a raised or spread out use position in relation to a home position, and which has a fixing device (20) along at least one upper or lower side edge (8, 9) for fixing on the deployment element (12), on a base element (10) of the wind deflector, or on a motor vehicle chassis, wherein the fixing device (20) has at least one first clamping strip (22) and at least one second clamping strip (24), which are connected to one another by means of connecting elements (26, 36) which correspond to one another and penetrate through the fabric (2), and thereby clamp the side edge (8, 9) of the fabric (2) between the first and the second clamping strip (22, 24).
