Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for preventing ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) gateway deception. The method comprises: receiving address binding information uploaded by gateway equipment and corresponding to a gateway interface, wherein the address binding information comprises a mapping relation between IP addresses and MAC addresses; creating an address binding information table based on the address binding information; issuing the address binding information table to each access switch, so that each access switch prevents ARP gateway deception according to the address binding information table when receiving an ARP message. The method and the device cancel the manual operation of a network administrator configuring ARP information of a gateway interface on terminal equipment, and can remarkably improve the working efficiency.
