Abstract

The invention discloses a preparation method for an emulsified bitumen cold-recycled mixture based on an internal friction angle. The method comprises the following steps: adjusting the grading of recycled materials according to a recommended grading range; determining optimum water content and maximum dry density according to geotechnical compaction tests of a recycled mixture; molding a test piece under the condition of the optimum water content, subjecting the test piece to maintenance and determining the optimum usage amount of emulsified bitumen by using the internal friction angle acquired through a triaxial compression test; determining whether splitting strength meets design requirements by carrying out wet and dry splitting tests on the basis of the optimum usage amount of emulsified bitumen; and determining the proportion of the emulsified bitumen cold-recycled mixture according to the determined grading of the recycled materials, the optimum water content and the optimum usage amount of emulsified bitumen and testing the performance of the mixture. Compared with conventional designing method for emulsified bitumen mixtures based on dry and wet splitting strength, the method provided by the invention better handles the problem of permanent deformation or shear failure caused by shearing strain in usage of the emulsified bitumen mixture while taking the tensile strength of the materials into consideration.
