Abstract

The research result shows that 15 weeks after single local irradiation of 15.0Gy gamma rays, the rat rectum mucosa has inflammatory cell infiltration, fiber tissue hyperplasia also appears, and the secretion amount of inflammatory cytokines IL-2 and IL-6 of the rectum tissue is remarkably increased, which indicates the successful establishment of the radiation proctitis model.
