The method comprises the steps as follows: modified asphalt samples with known SBS content form a standard group, the TG (thermogravimetry) and DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) curves of the modified asphalt standard group are acquired with a comprehensive thermal analyzer; a DTGcurve is obtained, linear fitting is performed on the SBS content of the modified asphalt standard group and the temperature corresponding to third weight loss peak in the DTG curve, and a linear regression equation of SBS content-temperature is established; the heat absorption and release value in a DSC curve is calculated, and a linear regression equation of SBS content-heat absorption and release value is established; the TG and DSC curves of a to-be-tested modified asphalt sample are acquired, the temperature corresponding to the third weight loss peak on the DTG curve and the heat absorption and release value of the DSC curve are obtained with software; the SBS content of the to-be-tested modified asphalt sample is calculated as omega 1 and omega 2 in combination of the two linear regression equations, and the SBS content of the to-be-tested sample is (omega 1+omega 2) / 2.
