Abstract

The invention provides application of catechin used for lowering liver damage caused by dimethylformamide. According to the technical scheme, firstly, the metabolic pathway along with DMF invades intothe human body in a contact mode is studied, and according to the product type and damage conditions of the liver metabolic process, the feasibility of treating toxicity damage by catechin is inspected. On this basis, through an animal experiment, a DMF poisoning model is built, and with the DMF poisoning model being an experiment object, the treatment effect of catechin on poisoned animals is inspected. An experiment result shows that by orally taking catechin, the antioxidiant enzyme activity in the liver tissue can be obviously improved, and meanwhile, the phenomenon that the contents of glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase and the like are too high is also avoided. Besides, it is found that catechin has a definite lowering effect on inflammatory damage caused by DMF, and it is further found that the pharmacologic action of catechin is achieved by lowering the expression quantity of proinflammatory cytokine IL-1beta and IL-6.
