The semicircular planar rolling type trash rack comprises an upper trash rack section (2), a middle trash rack section (3) and alower trash rack section (4) which are connected into an integer through bolts (1) from top to bottom, wherein each trash rack section is composed of a frame (6) capable of rolling up and down in a trash rack slot (5) and a semicircular grid body (7) used for blocking dirt; and each semicircular grid body is connected with an upstream surface of the corresponding frame. The semicircular planar rolling type trash rack can increase an open area by about 1.6 times, so that quantities of trash racks and grid piers are reduced, and therefore, civil engineering and metal structure investment is reduced to a greater extent. A roller bearing can be adopted to reduce opening-closing capacity of the trash rack; and in a large-orifice trash rack, opening-closing capacity is effectively reduced, so that investment is reduced.
