Abstract

The invention discloses a mountain torrent disaster risk assessment method and early warning system based on a catastrophe theory. The early warning system is composed of a data acquisition system, arisk level evaluation system and a graded early warning system. The data acquisition system mainly achieves automatic acquisition of impact factors of mountain torrents by means of a remote sensing interpretation, on-site investigation and on-site monitoring combined method. The risk level evaluation system uses the catastrophe theory to construct a hierarchical structure model, calculates catastrophe progression according to a primary catastrophe model layer by layer from bottom to top, and ultimately determines the level of risk based on the catastrophe progression. The graded early warningsystem converts the evaluation level into an early warning signal, sends the early warning signal to relevant government officials and sends a forecast to surrounding residents through a wireless device. The fully automated integrated system for mountain torrent date collection, disaster risk assessment and graded early warning is established for the first time, the disadvantages of strong subjectivity in raw data collection and index weight distribution are avoided, and more accurate evaluation results are obtained from an internal action mechanism of a mountain torrent system.
