Abstract

A container includes a housing 12 that includes a box 14 and a lid 20 hingedly attached to the box. The cover 20 includes a front wall 24 having an inner surface 22, an outer surface 26 and a bottom edge. The box includes a front wall 16 having an upper edge 21 and an access area 62 . At least some part of the upper edge 21 of the box is formed by at least some part of the access area 62 . The container also includes an inner package 30 disposed at least partially within the outer shell and at least partially defining an interior volume for containing a consumer product. The inner package 30 includes a first layer 40 and a second layer 50 . The first layer 40 includes a flap 44 attached to the inner surface of the cover and configured to be removably attached to the sealing area 72 of the second layer 50 for opening by and closing the lid of the container to open and close the inner package. The container also includes an insert 60 located between the inner surface 17 of the front wall 16 of the box and the outer surface 32 of the front wall 31 of the inner package. The insert 60 has an upper edge 35 accessible via the access area 62 .

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a resealable container for consumer products containing accessible inserts. The container is used especially as a container for elongated smoking articles such as cigarettes. Background technique [0002] Inserts are commonly used in the industry as a means of communication. [0003] WO 2015 / 011621 shows a resealable bag containing an insert, but the insert (at its top) has a shape that is a mirror image of the rubber seal on the lid. The mirrored part of the insert provides a boss with which the insert is obtained. This configuration will require substantial modifications to the container and the method of manufacturing the container.
