Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a switching method and device of a network access mode. The method comprises the following steps: in case of according with a preset switching condition, determining a first access mode and network parameters of a current access network; calculating a first power consumption of the first access mode according to the network parameters; calculating a secondpower consumption of a second access mode according to the network parameters; comparing the first power consumption with the second power consumption; and when the first power consumption is higher than the second power consumption, accessing the network according to the second access mode corresponding to the second power consumption. According to comparison of the power consumptions of different access modes under a condition of identical network parameters, an optimal access mode is selected to access the network, thereby guaranteeing no influence caused on a message source and guaranteeing the watching quality; and meanwhile, the power consumption can be reduced; a set top box powered by a battery is particularly sensitive to the power consumption as a relatively low power consumptioncan prolong the service life of the set top box.
