Abstract

A method for treating tail gas from a bituminous mixing plant comprises the following steps: (1) cooling tail gas through a spray cooling device to condense out liquid water droplets; (2) sending thecooled tail gas into a demisting device to separate liquid water droplets from the tail gas; and (3) sending the tail gas after demisting into a discharge device and heating by hot gas until the tailgas temperature is higher than the dew point temperature, and then discharging to the atmosphere. According to the system, the spray cooling device is adopted to reduce moisture content of the tail gas generated from the bituminous mixing plant by 70-90%, the demisting device is adopted to separate the condensed liquid water, and the cooled and demisted tail gas and hot gas in the flue are mixed and heated and finally discharged into the atmosphere. The moisture content of the tail gas treated by the system is greatly reduced and the temperature is higher than the dew point temperature; and after the tail gas is discharged into the atmosphere and before the tail gas is fully diffused, the temperature will not drop below the dew point temperature.
