Abstract

According to an embodiment, a printer performs printing on a printable medium to be attached to a product, wherein data confirmation before printing can be easily performed. The printer comprises thecomponetns of a printing data generation part as a generation part, a printing data storage part as a storage part, a changing position detecting part as a detecting part, and a changing position highlighting part as a projecting part. The changing position detecting part detects the changing items between the generated label printing data on the printing data generation part and the printing dataof the commodity of the product number which is stored in the printing data storage part and is same with the printing data and is used as the commodity code. Furthermore the changing position highlighting part displays the generated printing data of the printing data generation part on the displaying part of a label printer, and displays the items which are in the generated printing data of theprinting data generation part and are detected by the changing position detecting part in a highlighted manner.
