The method comprises the steps of: acquiring a service group information table BAT froma transport stream TS of any channel, and obtaining an advertisement descriptor according to the BAT; and determining a frequency point, where an advertisement is located, according to the advertisement descriptor, and acquiring the advertisement code stream from the frequency point where the advertisement is located. The method can enable the set-top box to obtain the advertisement code stream from the frequency point, where the advertisement is located, at a current frequency point, avoids a case where an operator plays the advertisement code stream at multiple frequency points and thus massive bandwidth is occupied, and reduces advertising costs.
