Abstract

The invention provides a liquid crystal display panel and a display device. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer, wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are opposite to each other, the liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first electrode layer is arranged on theside, facing the liquid crystal layer, of the first substrate, a second electrode layer is arranged on the side, facing the liquid crystal layer, of the second substrate, and the first electrode layerand the second electrode layer are in axial symmetry about the liquid crystal layer. According to the liquid crystal display panel and the display device, through the arrangement of the first electrode layer on the first substrate and the arrangement of the second electrode layer on the second substrate, field stress of the liquid crystal layer in the vertical direction can be offset. Therefore,the penetration rate of the liquid crystal display panel can be increased while the backlight power dissipation is lowered, and thus the screen luminance is improved.
