The method comprises the following steps: according to a first-order derivative curve between battery capacity and voltage of an invalid lithium battery as well as a first-order derivative curve between battery capacity and voltage of a new lithium battery, calculating attenuation rates of the cathode material and the anode material of the invalid lithium battery; and analyzing the attenuation rates of the cathode material and the anode material, thus a reason for reduction of the battery capacity of the invalid lithium battery in rapid charging and discharging processes can be obtained, wherein the invalid lithium battery is obtained by performing cycle rapid charging and discharging on another new lithium battery for afirst preset number of times, and after a failure reason of an NCA cathode+silicon carbide anode battery is analyzed, a theoretical basis is conveniently provided for battery designers in design and improvement of batteries.
