Abstract

The invention discloses a novel cable intermediate joint. A plurality of layers of coaxially arranged cylindrical capacitive screens are arranged in a fixed insulator. The innermost layer of capacitive screen is in short circuit with a cable joint, and the outermost layer of capacitive screen is grounded. Metal flanges are glued at two ends of the fixed insulator. The metal flange at each side atleast comprises two flange bodies arranged in parallel. A sealing ring is arranged between the flange body at the outermost side of each end of the fixed insulator and the cable at the corresponding end, and a sealing ring is arranged between the flange body at the innermost side and the fixed insulator at the corresponding end. A filling cavity is formed in the circumferential direction of the flange body on the innermost side in the metal flanges at each end, and insulating oil is poured into the filling cavity. A solidified sealing layer is poured between a grounding shell and the fixed insulator. According to the invention, the capacitive screens are arranged in the fixed insulator; the capacitive screens equalize an electric field; the metal flanges play a role in sealing and limitingthe cable; and the fixed insulator can thoroughly solve the problem that the electric field of an existing cable intermediate joint is uneven.
