The method is used for a battery management system, and comprises the steps: obtaining operation information of a battery management system and a battery system; judging whether the operation information meets a preset pre-charging permission condition or not; if so, issuing a notification used for representing permission of pre-charging to the battery system, and obtaining a pre-charging current and a load voltage of the battery system in a pre-charging process of the battery system based on the notification; judging whether thepre-charging current is equal to a preset pre-charging current threshold value or not and whether the load voltage is equal to a preset load voltage threshold value or not; and if the pre-charging current is equal to the preset pre-charging current threshold and the load voltage is equal to the preset load voltage threshold, controlling the pre-charging progress of the battery system according tothe preset pre-charging duration.
