Abstract

The invention discloses 5-hydroxy-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) 1-phenyl-3-heptanone separated from galangal and application of the 5-hydroxy-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) 1-phenyl-3-heptanone. A separation method comprises the following steps: crushing 42kg of galangal, heating and refluxing for three times by using 80% ethanol, heating and refluxing for 2 hours each time according to a solid-liquid ratio of 1: 10, combining filtrates, and concentrating to 10L to obtain a galangal extract; taking 55g of the galangal extract, loading the galangal extract on a column according to the ratio of 1: 7 (silica gel), wherein the loading amount of the silica gel is 385g, and a silica gel is 55g; carrying out elution at the eluent ratio of petroleum ether to ethyl acetate is (30: 1), (25: 1), (20: 1), (15: 1), (10: 1), (5: 1) and (5: 3); and eluting with petroleum ether and ethyl acetate in a ratio of 10: 1 to obtain the 5-hydroxy-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) 1-phenyl-3-heptanone monomer. The galangal extract has a remarkable effect of improving IR. The compound can up-regulate the transcriptional level of Nrf2mRNA and downstream target genes.
