Embodiment Construction

[0030] The present invention uses figure 1Packet data system shown. A method for preventing packet data call collisions using a packet switching method in a WLL system according to the present invention will be described below.

[0031] The packet switching method is a method that divides data to be transmitted into packet units and transmits each packet. The originating side divides data to be transmitted, and generates each packet by adding control information (protocol header) such as an address required for routing.

[0032] Refer below Figure 5-7 illustrate. When a terminal A-C 100-120 tries to connect a call to RP (radio port) 220. Method and packet data transmission process for preventing call collision.

[0033] The RP 220 transmits header data for maintaining synchronization with the terminals A-C 100-120 through the pilot channel and the radio interface unit (RIU) 210 (S300). The RP 220 transmitting this header data checks whether synchronization is formed (S3...

Abstract

A method for preventing packet data call collisions in a WLL system is disclosed, using random numbers to allocate packet transmission times for each terminal. The method includes initializing the nonce and call connection time, and transmitting packet data to a radio port (RP) after completion of the initialization. A new unique random number is assigned to each terminal based on packet data transmitted from each terminal. Packet data is transmitted to the RP at a call connection time corresponding to the random number.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to packet data transmission in a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) system, and more particularly to a method of preventing packet data call collisions. Background technique [0002] In general, a wireless local loop system provides wireless subscriber lines to the subscribers, as opposed to prior art wired subscriber networks which use wired subscriber lines to connect the exchange to the subscribers. According to the prior art, voice-band data transmission speeds are limited to 64 kbit / s. However, DRLSN does not use modems and provides high-speed digital data services greater than 64 kbit / s. Moreover, using the WWL system, service providers can reduce installation fees, installation time and various additional services. For example, a WLL system can provide Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), data service and Integrated Services Digital Network BRD (ISDN BRD) service. [0003] Technically, the WLL system can be divided into WL...
