Abstract

To reduce a friction and also improve a seal property under a simple seal structure at one seal place by fixing the lower end of a piston rod on the bottom surface of an outer tube for inserting an inner tube to its inside slidably. The lower end of a piston rod 6 is screwed in the bottom center of a bottom case 3 by a bolt 18 screwed in from the outside, while matching to the hole 3a of the bottom center of the bottom case 3. When a front fork enters from an extending time a compression stroke, a fork pipe 2 is inserted together with the rod guide 8 and seal 9 of its lower into the bottom case 3 and elastic force is applied by the compression of a spring 17. The valve function of a piston 7 increases a flow resistance and generates a damping force at the extending time by the elastic restoration force of the spring 17 from this state.
