The method includes following steps: (1) presentation of grid for digital shoe last; (2) parameterization of curved surface of last; (3) generating geodesic lines on curved surface of last; (4) automatic measuring curved surface of last. The invention discloses fast automatic generation algorithm for geodesic lines through combination between traditional manual measuring method for and digital geometric processing technique for curved surface of last. Complexity of the said algorithm is O (n). Key points on curved surface of last are connected through geodesic lines so as to form key lines. The method is capable of measuring each parameter including length, width and girth. The method is suitable to all last types and styles with high measuring accuracy.
