Abstract

The present invention provides a connector with locking mechanism having a structure with few maximum stress generated at a hinge jointing part serving as a fulcrum of a lock arm. The lock arm 3 is arranged on the outer wall of a housing 10. A plug 1 has the locking mechanism 11 maintaining the locked state of the plug to a receptacle 2 by the locking of the lock arm 3 to a latch part 40 formed on the receptacle 2. The lock arm 3 is composed of a hook part 3A protruded toward insertion direction of the receptacle 2, a force point part 3B including a finger pushing part, positioned at opposite side of the hook part 3A, and a fulcrum part 3C. The fulcrum part 3C supports the lock arm 3 at its both ends by a pair of torque rods 4A, 4B so as to make the hooking part 3A move in rocking motion.
