Benefits of technology

"The present invention provides a drinking container with a cup body, a liquid receptacle, and a trigger hingeably connected to the cup body. The trigger can be moved from a normal position to an actuated position to control the opening and closing of the liquid receptacle. The container has a spring that assists in biasing the trigger towards the closed position. The cup body has a recess in which the trigger is positioned, and the trigger is mechanically connected to the seal or the shutter to open and close the drinking aperture. The container also has a vent to provide fluid communication between the liquid receptacle and the outside environment. The technical effects of the invention include the ability of the drinking container to automatically seal and unseal the opening to the liquid receptacle for the user to drink therefrom upon depressing and releasing the trigger, as well as the ability to control the opening and closing of the liquid receptacle with a simple trigger mechanism."
