[0020]The current embodiments relate to a hockey stick having an improved blade construction. As set forth more fully below, the blade construction can provide improved performance for shooting and passing motions, including slap shots for example. Embodiments can be used in connection with ice hockey sticks, in-line hockey sticks, one-piece and two-piece hockey sticks, goalie hockey sticks, and hockey sticks whose size and dimensions vary from that of the hockey sticks described below.
