Embodiment Construction

[0032] Embodiments of the invention will now be described in detail, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

[0033] In order to solve the problems of the conventional liquid crystal injection method, a novel liquid crystal dropping method has recently been introduced. This liquid crystal dropping method forms a liquid crystal layer by directly applying liquid crystal to a substrate, and then dispersing the applied liquid crystal by pressing the substrates together. According to this liquid crystal dropping method, liquid crystal is applied to a substrate in a short time, so that a liquid crystal layer can be rapidly formed. In addition, since the liquid crystal is directly applied, the waste of the liquid crystal can be reduced, thereby reducing the pollution problem and reducing the cost.

[0034] Figure 4 shows this basic liquid crystal dropping method. As shown in the figure, liquid crystal is directly dropped (applied) onto the lower substrate 1...

Abstract

A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus having a multipart, separable needle that can be easily repaired should the needle becomes distorted or damaged.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a liquid crystal dispensing device and more particularly to a multi-part detachable needle having easy repair. Background technique [0002] Portable devices such as mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and notebook computers often require thin, lightweight and efficient flat panel displays. Various types of flat panel displays exist, including liquid crystal displays (LCDs), plasma displays (PDPs), field emission displays (FEDs), and vacuum fluorescent displays (VFDs). Among these flat panel displays, LCD has the advantages of wide applicability, ease of use, and good image quality. [0003] LCDs display information based on the refractive anisotropy of liquid crystals. As shown in FIG. 1 , an LCD 1 includes a lower substrate 5 , an upper substrate 3 and a liquid crystal layer 7 disposed between the upper substrate 3 and the lower substrate 5 . The lower substrate 5 includes an array of driving devices ...
