Abstract

Disclosed is an air conditioner using one motor to switch a pair of opening parts which are arranged on two side surfaces and used for sucking and exhausting air. The air conditioner of the present invention comprises a first blade and a second blade rotatablely arranged on the opening parts respectively for switching the opening parts of two side surfaces; a motor providing power for rotating the first blade and the second blade; a power transferring unit comprising a first rack and a second rack, wherein one end of the rack forms saw tooth receiving power from the motor while the other end of the rack forms saw tooth transferring power to the first blade and the second blade, and the saw tooth at one end and the other end of the first rack are positioned at the opposite side surfaces with respect to the first rack. The power transferring unit comprises a driving gear connected to the motor rotary shaft, and a first pinion and a second pinion form one piece with the first blade and the second blade respectively. The structure of the present invention can reduce the number of components and parts and reduce the manufacturing cost of product.
