The method and system for data link to exit service are in use for solving that low dynamic management efficiency, waste resources, poor compatibility, and possible to influence service load-born by data link etc existed in current technique. The method includes steps: local terminal sends message of link blocked off to opposite terminal; when determining that blocking off data link is tolerable, the opposite terminal blocks off data link and returns message of confirming link blocked off to local end; after receiving the said confirming message, the local terminal blocks off data link. The invention also discloses the system composed of local and opposite terminals for exiting data link. The invention makes operational manager possible to carry out testing, replacing, and updating operations for operational links so as not to damage services. Thus, it is feasible to exit or get back services for one or more data links at one time in high efficiency, and resources saved.
