Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring the motion blurring of liquid crystal displays, and belongs to the field of liquid crystal image quality measurement. The method comprises the following steps: calculating gray scale test input sequences; measuring liquid crystal response curves; calculating perceived brightness distribution curves; calculating dynamic modulation transfer functions; and finally, repeating the steps, so as to obtain the characteristic curves of the dynamic modulation transfer functions. By measuring the liquid crystal response curves based on finite and special input gray scale signal sequences, the invention realizes the analog calculations of the patterns with the brightness which is changed according to the sine rule with the space and can perceive results when moving on the LCD; and by comparing target patterns with perception effect, the invention can reflect the display quality of the motion image of the liquid crystal displays objectively. Based on display contents of the general image, the invention utilizes the response characteristics between multiple gray scales, and is closer to the display conditions of natural images, thereby enabling the measured information to be more overall.
