Abstract

The invention discloses a display method and a device of an input-method interface, thereby solving the problem that the interface display way of the Ziguang Pinyin input method and the like can not support the candidate editing. The method comprises the following steps: receiving an encoded character string inputted by a user; completely displaying the inputted encoded character string in an encoding area under the input editing mode, and displaying candidate items which are matched with the encoded character string from the first character in a candidate item area; switching the input editing mode to the candidate editing mode when determining the position of a modification point; and displaying the complete reference conversion result which corresponds to the encoded character string in the encoding area under the candidate editing mode and displaying the candidate items which correspond to all or part of the reference conversion result after the modification point in the candidate item area. The interface display way has the complete candidate editing capacity. Furthermore, the interface is simple and intuitive, and the user can concentrate the visual focus more easily during the using process of the input method, thereby improving the typing efficiency and reducing the keystroke errors.
