Problems solved by technology

[0006] The invention provides a detection method of a label switching path and a label switching router, which are used to overcome that in the existing BFD detection technology, only the LSP corresponding to the FEC whose destination IP address is the same host IP address can be detected, but cannot Defects detected by the LSP corresponding to the FEC whose destination IP address is the same network segment address, improving the stability and reliability of the MPLS network

Abstract

The invention provides a detection method of a label switching path (LSP) and a label switching router. The detection method comprises the steps of: when carrying out fault detection on the LSP corresponding to an FEC (Forward Error Correction) code with a destination address being a same network segment IP address, after inquiring next hop information corresponding to the network segment IP address in a local route list by an inlet LSR (Launch Signal Responder) of the LSP, sending the BFD message to the outlet LSR corresponding to the next hop information; and after any one LSR in the LSP receives a BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) message, if recognizing that the LSR is not the outlet LSR of the LSP, inquiring next hop information corresponding to the network segment IP address in the local route list and forwarding the BFD message according to the inquired next hop information until the BFD message is sent to the outlet LSR of the LSP. The invention overcomes the defect that the traditional BFD detection technology is only capable of detecting the LSP corresponding to the FEC with the destination IP address being a host computer IP address, and successfully realizes the BFD detection on the LSP corresponding to the FEC with the destination IP address being the network segment address.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of electronic communication, in particular to a detection method of a label switching path and a label switching router. Background technique [0002] Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS for short) is a system that provides destination, routing, forwarding and switching capabilities for network data traffic, and is used for fast data packet switching and routing. Different from the traditional method of data transmission using routing table lookup and forwarding, MPLS provides a new data transmission method, in which the IP address is mapped to a simple label with a fixed length, so that the data transmission path can pass along the source A series of end-to-end routers corresponding to the label sequence is implemented. In the MPLS system, this series of router label sequences is called Label Switching Path (LSP for short). LSP is equivalent to a tunnel passing through the MPLS core network. Before MPLS f...
