Abstract

Provided is a chair-type stretcher comprising a seat, a back, a flexible seat, tension applying means and a controller. The back has a width along the widthwise direction of the user. The flexible seat is extended all over the width of the front face of the back. The flexible seat is so arranged on the front face of the back as can move freely between an ordinary position along the back and a protruding position spaced by a predetermined distance from the back. The tension applying means is disposed in the back. The tension applying means is constituted to apply a tension to the flexible seat, thereby to move the central portion of the flexible seat forward. The tension applying means is disposed on at least one widthwise end of the front face of the back. The tension applying means applies a widthwise outward tension to the flexible seat.
