Problems solved by technology

[0004] In order to overcome the shortcoming that the existing tilapia broodstock selection method cannot distinguish whether the selected broodstock individual can reproduce and whether the reproductive ability is strong or weak, the present invention provides a kind of broodstock selection method, which can select the normal reproduction and the interval time between breeding batches Short broodstock can effectively improve the reproductive efficiency of tilapia broodstock and reduce the pressure of broodstock conservation

Embodiment approach 1

[0008] Implementation Mode 1: Selection of Broodstock of Olia tilapia

[0009] 1. Selection before wintering. The Oria tilapia fry that were bred in May have grown to about 350 grams in October of the second year, reaching sexual maturity for the first time, and are selected before overwintering. 1. Male fish selection. The male "genital process" is obvious and triangular in shape. Use the mother finger and index finger to push from front to back on the rear abdomen, and a translucent liquid flows out from the front of the genital process. Other traits are selected according to the selection requirements of traditional broodstock (big size, good shape, Bright body color, clear and well-proportioned body pattern or caudal fin stripes). 2. Female fish selection. In the natural state, the female genital pores are clearly visible and narrowly elliptical, and other traits are selected according to the selection requirements of traditional broodstock. The unsuitable individuals ...

[0010] Implementation Mode 2: Selection of broodstock of Gifu tilapia

[0011] 1. Selection before wintering. The gifu tilapia fry that were bred in June grew to about 400 grams in October of that year. They reached sexual maturity for the first time and were selected before overwintering. 1. Male fish selection. The male "genital process" is obvious and triangular in shape. Abstract

The invention belongs to aquacultural reproductive technology, in particular relates to a parent fish selection method capable of improving the reproductive efficiency of tilapia. In order to overcome the defects that whether the selected parent fish individuals can be bred or not and the reproductive capacity cannot be distinguished by the conventional tilapia parent fish selection method, the invention provides the parent fish selection method. The individuals which cannot be bred or have low reproductive efficiency can be removed by two-time selection before winter and after winter, so that the reproductive rate of parent fish population is improved. The reproductive success rate is improved during family selection; and a plurality of families are established so as to greatly reduce the breeding time.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the reproductive technology of aquaculture, and specifically relates to a broodstock selection method capable of improving the reproductive efficiency of tilapia. Background technique [0002] Tilapia is a tropical fish that spawns in batches. There are large differences in the development of gonads in the same batch of fish, which directly affects the success rate of mating, fertilization rate, hatching rate and seed quality. Gonad development is affected by both heredity and environment. Environmental influences can be resolved through intensive cultivation before breeding, and individual genetic differences can be resolved through strict selection during seed production. There are several cases of individual genetic differences in broodstock. The gonad development of large broodstock may be poor. Such fish have poor reproductive ability or cannot reproduce as parents; the gonad development of broodstock is always in some tra...
