Embodiment Construction

[0039] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be described in further detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0040] 1. Method overview

[0041] Such as figure 1 The flow of the entire method of the present invention is shown. The core of the method is to perform non-photorealistic rendering of a 3D model based on a 2D texture, including two processes of cartoon rendering with a cartoon texture and stylization with a feature line of a stylized texture. The specific method includes 6 steps:

[0042] Step 1: Read the 3D grid model data;

[0043] Step 2: Calculate the principal curvature and principal direction of each vertex in the 3D mesh model;

[0044] Step 3: Under the current viewpoint, calculate the radial curvature value of each vertex of the 3D mesh model according to the principal curvature and principal direction;

Abstract

The invention relates to a non-photorealistic rendering method for a three-dimensional network model with stylized typical lines, which comprises the following main steps: 1) calculating the principal direction and the principal curvature of each vertex in a three-dimensional network model; 2) solving the radial curvature of each vertex in the three-dimensional network model under the current viewpoint position, and normalizing all the radial curvatures; 3) carrying out cartoon rendering on the three-dimensional network model by using two-dimensional cartoon textures based on the normalized radial curvatures; 4) extracting typical lines of the three-dimensional network model, and expanding the typical lines along the normal directions of the vertices of the three-dimensional network model to form a quadrangle; and 5) carrying out texture mapping on the typical lines of the three-dimensional network model by using two-dimensional stylized textures to generate the stylized rendering effect of the typical lines. Based on the above steps, the invention realizes the non-photorealistic rendering of the three-dimensional network model with stylized typical lines.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of computer graphics, and relates to a method for cartoon rendering and feature line stylization of a three-dimensional grid model. Background technique [0002] With the rapid development of graphics hardware, non-photorealistic rendering of 3D mesh models has become a trend. Non-photorealistic rendering (Non-Photorealistic Rendering) generally refers to all graphics and image rendering technologies with various hand-painted styles, the purpose of which is to use computers to automatically realize the creation of painting art. In people's production and life, non-photorealistic rendering is widely used in cartoons, animations, and video games, and the most common one is cartoon rendering. Using non-photorealistic rendering technology, you can use multiple styles to draw the same scene, such as pencil drawing, oil painting, watercolor and sketch effects, and you can quickly simulate a certain writer's paint...
