The projector comprises a battery, an interface, a selection unit, a light emitting element, a driver and a central processing unit, wherein the battery is used for supplying battery power; the interface is used for receiving and transmitting external power; the selection unit is used for receiving the battery power and the external power and outputting one of the battery power and the external power as an operating voltage of the projector according to control signals; the driver is used for receiving drive signals and driving the light emitting element; and the central processing unit is used for outputting control signals of the first state to control the selection unit to select and output the external power when the electric quantity of the battery is in a low level and the interface receives the external power, and the the central processing unit is also used for adjusting the intensity of the drive signals output by the central processing unit according to the electric quantity of the external power so that the projector keeps operating.
