Abstract

The invention provides a striding type vehicle capable of considering both improvement of cooling of a silencer and light weight of a protector. An automatic two-wheel vehicle, namely a striding type vehicle (1) is provided with: a silencer (30) configured at a side part of a rear part of the vehicle and used for performing silencing of exhaust gas from an engine (20); a protector (40) covering the silencer (30); an opening part (45) for ventilation formed on the protector (40), and guiding travel air to the silencer (30); and a pedal (18) for placing of a foot part in a riding state of a passenger. The opening part (45) for ventilation is configured at a lower part of the pedal (18), and disposed at a lower surface of the protector (40) in a mode of facing downwards.
