Abstract

The invention relates to a method adopting hormones to promote flower bud differentiation of osmanthus fragrans. The method is characterized in that paclobutrazol of 500ppm is sprayed when spring twigs are substantially capped, paclobutrazol is sprayed once every 6 days and for three times in a term, paclobutrazol of 500ppm can be replaced with daminozide of 250ppm. The number of flower buds can be increased, the number of the flower buds sprayed with paclobutrazol can be 15.4-23.3% more than the conventional number, and the number of the flower buds sprayed with daminozide is 16.1-21.7% more than the conventional number. Based on study on endogenesis hormones and proportion variation of various hormones and the like in the process of flower bud differentiation and floral organogenesis of osmanthus fragrans, the method promotes flower bud differentiation of osmanthus fragrans according to variation of the endogenesis hormones and through application of exogenous hormones, increases the number of the flower buds and flowering times, prolongs an ornamental period, and improves integral ornamentation.
