Process for pruning a tree branch with its directional fall

The invention relates to agriculture, namely to the pruning of tree branches with directed fall thereof in cases where plants or cars are located beneath the branch being cut.The process, according to the invention, consists in determining the location of the branch to be cut, estimating the weight of the branch to be cut, placing a fork-shaped support above the cutting site, capable of supporting a double weight of the branch to be cut, at the same time the support is fixed to the upper end of a ladder placed against the branch, near the cutting site. The first rope is then thrown over the fork and tied with the first end to the tree trunk at a height of 1…1.3 m from the ground, and the second end is tied to the branch to be cut. The second rope is then thrown over the middle part of the branch being cut, its ends are aligned and tied in a knot, which is moved as close to the branch as possible, its ends are then tied to stakes, preventively driven into the ground, positioned along a line perpendicular to the projection of the branch on the ground, on the opposite sides of this projection, at a distance almost equal to the distance between the ground and the branch. From one side and the other of the cutting place, the ends of a third rope are also tied to the branch on both sides of the cut.
