The invention discloses a method for using aerial stems of saururus chinensis for rapid propagation. The method includes the steps of 1), taking the aerial stems of the saururus chinensis, retaining the densest stem segments where the surface of the soil meets the air, cutting main stems from 25-30cm near bases and removing most or all the leaves to obtain cuttings; 2), placing the cuttings horizontally in fertile water or a hoagland nutrient solution for floating water culture for 2-3 weeks to obtain new shoots; 3), transplanting the obtained new shoots horizontally into nutritive soil pre-sterilized for cultivation to obtain seedlings; 4), subjecting the obtained seedlings to individual propagation and transplanting the same in the field or planting bags for cultivation and planting. Themethod is at least three times more efficient than conventional vertical cutting, which is conductive to improving the propagation efficiency of the saururus chinensis and reducing the cost of cultivation and maintenance.
