The invention discloses a method for promoting ecological
dormancy release and growth
recovery of fringed iris, which comprises the following steps: performing
gene silencing or
gene knockout on fringed iris derived tissues or
plant organs, the silent or knocked-out
gene is an IjAMY3 gene, then obtaining a
plant, and a
protein sequence coded by a
protein coding region of the IjAMY3 gene is shown as SEQ ID No.2. A VIGS technology is utilized to obtain a
mutant with a silent fringed iris IjAMY3 gene, and it is found that the
plant growth speed of the
mutant is obviously higher than that of a
wild type and a control group under the growth
recovery condition; in addition, the expression quantity of IjAMY3 in the IjAMY3
gene silencing mutant is remarkably reduced compared with that of a
wild type and a control group, the discovery enriches the understanding of the function of the AMY3 gene, it is clear that the function of the mutant is different from that in existing dicotyledonous plants for promoting ecological
dormancy of monocotyledonous plants, and a theoretical basis is provided for cultivating new
evergreen flower ground cover varieties.
