Abstract

The indicator is prepared and finished by the following steps of: (1) dissolving phenolphthalein into 60% ethanol according to the massic volume ratio of 1:1000; (2) dissolving thymolphthalein into 90% ethanol according to the massic volume ratio of 1:100; (3) dissolving alizarin red into 90% ethanol according to the massic volume ratio of 4:1000; (4) dissolving titan yellow into 90% ethanol according to the massic volume ratio of 3:1000; and (5) fully mixing the solution of the same volume obtained in the previous four steps, so as to prepare the indicator for determining the alkalinity of the finished product of the cement. The indicator has the advantages of simpleness in raw material, extremely low cost, convenience and practicability.
