Embodiment Construction

[0021] Embodiments of the present invention are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. As outlined above and discussed in detail below, according to an embodiment of the present invention, when an initial node joins a cluster, it fetches the required files and performs configuration. Unlike the prior art, this node will record its context during configuration for future use by other subsequent nodes. In this way, whenever a new node wants to join the cluster, it can obtain and refer to these contexts, thereby completing the expansion of the cluster more quickly and efficiently. Also, as detailed below, any new node joining the cluster can record its own context. In this way, as the number of nodes increases, the efficiency of cluster expansion increases accordingly.

[0022] The idea and principle of the present invention will be explained by describing several embodiments of the present invention in detail below. first reference figure 1 , ...

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to a method and a device for supporting cluster expansion. Particularly, the invention discloses a method for recording configuration context of initial node of a cluster, wherein the method comprises the following steps: acquiring at least one file to be used for configuring the initial node; and recording context in the process of using at least one file to configure the initial node, in which the recorded context is information related to the configuration of the initial node and is used for supporting to add a new node to the cluster. Correspondingly, the invention further discloses a method for supporting adding the new node to the cluster, wherein the method comprises the following steps: accessing the context of the existing node of the cluster, in which the context is information related to the configuration of the existing node in the process of adding to the cluster; and acquiring at least one file according to the context, in which the at least one file is used for configuring the new node. A corresponding device is further disclosed. According to the embodiment of the invention, the efficiency of cluster expansion can be efficiently improved.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to the field of information technology, and more particularly, to methods and devices for supporting cluster expansion. Background technique [0002] With the continuous development of computing technology, a computing cluster system or cluster for short has become an important computing mode or system. A cluster typically consists of a group of communicating nodes that cooperate with each other at the software and / or hardware level to collaboratively complete computing tasks. Note that in the context of this application, the nodes in the cluster may be physical nodes, such as different physical computing devices; they may also be virtual nodes, such as multiple virtual machines (Virtual Machine, VM) on the same physical computing device. The nodes in the cluster can communicate with each other by utilizing various suitable means, including but not limited to local area network (“LAN”), wide area n...
