Embodiment Construction

[0016] As shown in Figure 1, the mounting bar, designated by the reference numeral 10, includes a body portion 12 and a defined slot 14 adjacent the end of the body portion. The slot 14 , as shown in the illustrated embodiment, includes an end 13 defined by a first arc 16 . The first arc 16 is defined in part by a first centerline 18 . The second end 19 is defined by a second arc 20 . The second arc 20 is defined in part by a second centerline 22 . In the illustrated embodiment, the first and second centerlines, 18 and 22 respectively, are separated by a distance, represented by the reference letter "d". The size of the first arc 16 and the length of the distance "d" depend on the size of the mounting rod 10, and the size of the rod, pipe, or other object to which the mounting rod may be attached. In the illustrated embodiment, the first arc 16 is tangent to the bottom surface 24 defined by the slot 14 . Although the invention has been described as having a second arc, the...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a mounting rod which is provided with a body part and an extending mounting tank. The mounting tank at least partially extends through the body part which is next to the tail end of the mounting rod. The mounting tank is defined by a first arc which passes through the body part. The mounting tank is further defined to a bottom surface which is basically tangential with the first arc. The bottom surface extends to the bottom of the body part. A front surface is nearer to the tail end of the body part than the first arc, and extends from the bottom surface of the tank to the external surface of the body part. A clamping mechanism is provided and furthermore the clamping mechanism is operable for ensuring a fact that the mounting rod is fixed on another supporting member in the mounting tank. The mounting rod provided by the utility model can be used together with the prior-art supporting structure for mounting various kinds of equipment or devices.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to means for mounting components, and more particularly, to a mounting bar that prevents underload sliding and can be used with existing support structures to mount various equipment or devices. Background technique [0002] Conventional systems for adjustably mounting and supporting various devices generally employ clamping mechanisms. Such clamping devices are generally installed and supported equipment in limited positions. However, vibration or shaking of any part of the system or supported device may cause the tie clamping mechanism to loosen, thereby causing unwanted slipping and movement of the mounting device. Furthermore, sometimes such clamping devices do not sufficiently grip the device to which they are mounted causing the device to slip. Contents of the invention [0003] In one aspect, the invention relates to a mounting rod having a body portion and an extending mounting slot extending at least partially...
