Abstract

The invention discloses a low-viscosity low-threshold negative liquid crystal composition which comprises 1-50% of at least one compound shown as general formula I in percentage by mass, wherein R1 and R2 are one of C2-5 alkyl chain, C2-5 alkoxy and C2-5 alkenyl chain of which an olefinic bond is not directly connected with an oxygen atom or benzene ring. The liquid crystal composition has large and negative dielectric constant, low threshold voltage and viscosity, wide nematic phase temperature range, favorable compatibility, favorable ultraviolet resistance and high temperature resistance, and is applicable to VA (vertical alignment) mode liquid crystal displays having requirements for high response speed and low power consumption.
