Abstract

Disclosed is a cylindrical secondary battery which comprises: a jelly-roll type electrode assembly in which a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound together, wherein an electrode tape containing a polymer resin film having a melting point of 130 DEG C or greater is attached to at least one side of the uncoated part of the first electrode in the center portion of the wound jelly-roll type electrode assembly; a center pin inserted in the center of the jelly-roll type electrode assembly; a can accommodating the electrode assembly and the center pin; a cap assembly coupled to the upper opening portion of the can for sealing the can; and a gasket interposed between the can and the cap assembly.
